(RESHOOT) Amir Farokhpour - Task 1 & 2

Task 1

I think this photo better portrays Struth's style of shooting when it gets to portraits. He barely uses flash, something i used for my first photo but then decided it was too studio like and decided to go with a more natural type of shoot with more emotion.

Task 2

I decided to re-shoot for task #2. I think this photo gives a better sense of being stranded compared to the other image of the girl hitchhiking.

Eric Watters Task #3 RESHOOT

Reshoot of Alex Prager. Lots of inspiration. Lots of bright colours.

Nicole Haynes, Task #5

Sorry this is a little late being posted, but here is my Task 5 inspired by Jessica Labette. When I was on her website I saw a series of photographs labelled "Symmetry" I wanted to photograph images that were near a mirror and able to show that line of symmetry in it. I used lego blocks instead of the usual geometric shapes in her work just so it was a bit more different and had my own style to it.

Reshoot of Task #3

I really enjoyed Alex Prager's series of pictures that included things on fire. I wanted to recreate this but in a smaller version with fire by photographing my sister holding a burning piece of paper in front of her.

Pedro Hespanha - Task Numero 5 - Jess Labatte

Sorry it took so long! I couldnt' come up with anything for Jessica Labatte, and my girlfriend ended up helping me come up with this idea. Wanted to play with the color relationships of commonplace things. Plus, I figured I'd be hungry after the shoot so I decided on something I could eat after. Shoot your still life and eat it too!

pema phurpatsang. Task #1 re-shoot

I don't know if this still counts but anyways, I decided to reshoot task #1 as i felt it wasn't strong enough for me. I was inspired by Thomas Struth work of architecture.  the way the buildings were constructed and the angle he shot his photographs were really detailing. so i tried to do something similar to his style. Hopefully it worked.

Pema Phurpatsang task #5

My photograph was inspired by Jess Labatte and her work with color and shapes. Due to the angle i shot it in, viewer are able to get different perspective of how they look at the photograph and the different shapes of the subject.

Megan Bates - Week One Reshoot

I have decided to reshoot my week one due to the fact i thought the idea of shooting a regular building that wasnt too excited was weak so i decided to shoot some houses in the area that had more colour and life to them to relate to our artist being Thomas Struth

Re Shoot of Task #1, Nicole Haynes

The same idea as my first, I wanted to capture Old buildings surrounded by new buildings or new architecture. My first photographs were not that strong in capturing that, and a little too zoomed in and cropped to closely to get the whole effect of that. This image I found captures this better.

Re Shoot of Task #4, Nicole Haynes

This is the Re shot of Task 4. I didn't actually re shoot anything, I just used one of the images and duplicated them side by side to each other. I felt like the duplication made it have a different edge to it that I liked better, and this way the colours of the background and her face matched perfectly.

TASK #5 Emily Pleasance

I felt for her work she had a strong sense of shapes and colour in her work. she used objects as elements rather than what the objects actually are. I wanted to simplify my work to just colour and shape, but then found while shooting i like the twist of playing with perception.

Eric Watters - Task 5

I like Jessica Labatte. I was really captured by her photos of piles of stuff and she made it so beautiful. She literally saw the light and beauty in such simple things. I also really loved her shadow work, her use of bright colours and the use of straight lines.

For this shot, I wanted to create a soft image with warm colours. I wanted the shadows to be tinted the certain colours of the image and I wanted it to look simple. I think I've created an image that met my standards.

I realize that this photo isn't in the obvious style of Labatte in any sense, but this is what I was inspired to do after taking a look at her work. I hope you guys like it!
