Emily Pleasance Task #3

Task #3 Alex Prager

For this artist, I finally chose a visual stimulant to influence me. The other photos I have taken all are inspired by conceptual ideas, but for Alex Prager's photos I was strictly inspired by the dated models, fashion, clothing etc... It inspired me to grab anything I possibly had in the house to see if I could capture a photo/portrait that looked as if it was a flash back from time, just like Alex Prager's.

  1. Nice work, I like the colours, textures and composition. I might even just leave the background with the blue wall, but looks good with the floral too

  3. I really love what you did with the positioning in the photograph. You can see a really strong connection to Alex Prager. I like the contrast with the colours !

  4. Beautiful colours and vintage fabrics! I also really like her pose.

Did you use a vignette? I am biased because I generally don't like vignettes but I would try removing it and see how it looks.

  5. The only place I added a vignette was the top left corner because a natural vignette was created in all the other three corners and I wanted it to look more even :)

  6. I love the bursts of colour and patterns in her dress and then on the back ground really bring it together!
