Task #3 Hey Everyone! These 4 images are inspired by Alex Prager's photos on the eye. When I look at the eye pictures they are very neutral, and grey. So what I decided to do was take a different aspect of the face and make it vibrant and eccentric! I love using colour and in these pictures I took there are definitely a lot of colour!
I absolutely adore the colours in this. The second one is by far my favourite, its just so sassy! ;) The idea behind it is quite a nice accent to Prager's stuff as well. Really nice work.

I like how you applied her colour schemes to just facial features instead of a scene. Great idea and the series works well together.

#2 works the best i find, nothing better than rocky horror picture show lips, wish they were biting down a tab bit though! I adore the colours, it must of been really fun to shoot this!
ReplyDeleteI love that you went in a really different direction. This is really spontaneous and fun and works really well. I find that all your images look really great together, almost a wacky series of emotions all through the use of one facial feature. Maybe make a fun series of this with different expressions!

Oh geez, I'm going to be devil's advocate here. I think these images are quite tacky. The post processing being so evident and lips as subjects are so overly used in just this way in commercial photography. It looks like a cheesy filter for iphoto. I would suggest a re-shoot. If you want to stick to lips than try subverting it in some way.
